Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin
is covered.
Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute
iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit.
When I kept silent, my bones grew old Through my groaning all the day long.
For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; My vitality
was turned into the drought of summer.Selah
I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I have not
hidden.
I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,"
And You forgave the iniquity of my sin.Selah (Psalm 32:1-5)
God is willing to forgive us just as he forgave
David, but we must be willing to do as He says and live His Way.
Isaiah tells us that it is our sins that separate us
from God:
But your iniquities have separated you from your God;
And your sins have hidden His face from you,
So that He will not hear. (Isaiah 59:2)
God did not just leave us here to wallow in our sins
with no hope, He gave us a way back to Him.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but
have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to
condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (John
3:16-17)
Then Jesus said to them again,
"Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not
hear them. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will
be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture." (John
10:7-9)
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one
comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6)
God sent His Son to take away our sins, the only way to
God is through His Son Christ. How do we do this?
Jesus says: "If
you love Me, keep My commandments." (John 14:15)
We
find His commandments in the New Testament.
