WELCOME
Hello Ladies
We began a new series Monday and accidentally left off the introduction. We are including it today because the introduction is important to read so that you will understand the articles better, especially since they contain a lot of symbolism.
Monday we began a new series. The first article of this series is entitled: Her Wardrobe is All Glorious By Aneta Dodd. The 2nd article is: Her Beauty is Inward By Billie Duty. Please go back and read these two articles again with this in mind as they set the tone for the rest of our articles in this series. God uses a lot of symbolism throughout the whole Bible. There is a lot of familiar symbolism that is easy to understand such as Christ being called a lamb, a door and a shepherd. He is not literally any of these. He is symbolically a lamb because He was sacrificed for our sins. He is a door because He is our entrance into the Kingdom of God . He is a shepherd because He leads, feeds us and cares for us just as a shepherd cares for his sheep. When you read the Royal Daughter's Wardrobe articles please keep in mind that a lot of symbolism is used to identify her and her wardrobe. Who is the Royal Daughter? She is the daughter of the King, of course! Christian ladies are Royal Daughters! God is King and we are His daughters! The Royal Daughter wears splendid clothing! She is adorned inwardly and outwardly with only what befits a Lady of her title. She has been schooled in the graces of her high position. (Note: All Christians are the "Royal Daughter" but in our articles we will think of her as being Christian ladies since our readers are all ladies. All Christians are the "bride of Christ" male and female, just as all Christians are the "sons of God". God uses these terms to indicate relationship and to teach us about our roles in His kingdom.)
The Royal Daughter is Clothed with Salvation
By Aneta Dodd
Now therefore arise, O Lord God, into thy resting place, thou, and the ark of thy strength: let thy priests, O Lord God, be clothed with salvation, and let thy saints rejoice in goodness. (2 Chronicles 6:41)
A study in the book of Leviticus will describe the very detailed attire of Levitical priests. They were given strict instructions on how to dress and what each garment should look like. They were even given instructions on their undergarments! Our worship today does not consist of priests and such ceremonial activities because Jesus has become our high priest.
By so much more, Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant. Also, there were many priests, because they were prevented by death from continuing. However, He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore, He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. For as a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people's for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. (Hebrews 7:22-27)
As Jesus has become our High Priest, we have become his Royal Priesthood.
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. ( I Peter 2: 9-10)
As a Royal Priesthood, we must obey the New Testament Laws to clothe ourselves properly. In order to clothe ones self, you must "put on" the garment of choice. Therefore, we must put on Christ, the author of our Salvation.
And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him (Hebrews 5:9)
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provisions for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. (Romans 13:14)
The manner in which we "put on" Christ is through baptism.
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. (Galatians 3:26-27)
We learn in Ephesians 6:17 and again in I Thessalonians 5:8 that salvation takes on the responsibility of a helmet. We are to place our helmet of salvation on our head.
But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation (1 Thessalonians 5:8)
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; (Ephesians 6:17)
A soldier's helmet was very important in battle. It would protect him from any blows to the head administered by a sword, battle-axe, or war-club. Our helmet will also serve to keep our heads and souls protected at times of spiritual battle when Satan would want to discourage us and misguide us. Many times Satan would want us to question our salvation and create a sense of doubt within our minds. When we are clothed with the helmet of salvation, we know and can be confident of our Eternal Life in heaven.
These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. (I John 5:13)
