In this chapter we see more “thou shalt nots” and some “thou shalts.”
1. The first part of verse one is a command to not raise a false report. What does the second part of verse one give as an example of raising such a report?
Ans.: Putting one’s hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
 
2. Choose the correct answer from vs.2&3.
(a) It is O.K. to do evil as long as everyone else is.
(b) It is fair to be partial to a poor person in a dispute.
(c)
It is wrong to agree with the crowd when they are doing wrong.
(d) Poor people are always suspect because they are needy.
 
3. What is blinding to a wise person?
Ans.:
Taking a bribe
 
4. What reason was given for not oppressing strangers?
Ans.:
Israel was a stranger in the land of Egypt.
 
5. Why were crops and vineyards forbidden to be harvested in the seventh year?
Ans.:
So the poor of the land could eat them and what they would not eat was left for the beasts of the field.
 
6. What three feasts were to be kept each year?
Ans.:
The feast of unleavened bread, the feast of harvest, and the feast of ingathering.
 

7. What would result in God’s being an enemy to the enemies of Israel?
Ans.:
Their obeying God and His angel.
 
8. What nations would God cut off if they obeyed Him?
Ans.:
Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites and Jebusites..
 
9. What was Israel to do with the idols of the people of the land they were entering?
Ans.:
Overthrow them and break them.
 
10. What would God take away from them if they would serve Him?
Ans.:
sickness
 
11. What would God send before them to drive out their enemies?
Ans.:
hornets
 
12. Why would God not drive the enemies out immediately?
Ans.:
Lest the land become desolate and beasts overrun the land.
 
 
13. What would prove to be a snare (trap) to Israel?
Ans.:
If they would serve the gods of their enemies.
