1. What was Jacob's answer to Laban's complaint that he had "stolen away unaware and carried away (his) daughters?
Ans .: I was afraid that you would take your daughters from me.
2. Where did Laban search for his "gods"?
Ans.: Jacob's tent, Leah's tent, the two maidservants' tents and Rachel's tent.
3. Why could he not thoroughly search Rachel's tent?
Ans.: Rachel was sitting on the camel's furniture where she had hidden the images and would not get up because, as she said, "the custom of women" was upon her.
4. For how long did Jacob serve Laban for his daughters and his cattle? [Two answers required]
Ans 1.: 14 years.
Ans 2.: 6 years.
5. How many times did Laban change Jacob's wages?
Ans.: Ten times.
6. What did Jacob say prevented Laban from sending him away empty-handed?
Ans.: Except the God of his father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with him Laban would have sent him away empty. But God saw his affliction and his labor and rebuked Laban.
7. What was the covenant that Laban and Jacob made between them?
Ans.: Laban not pass the pillar they had set up to harm Jacob and Jacob would not pass by it to harm Laban.
8. What did Laban call the heap of stones they had raised, and what does it mean?
Ans.: Jegarsahadutha, heap of testimony.
9. What did Jacob call it, and what do these two words mean?
Ans.: Galeed, heap of witness; and Mizpah, watch tower.
10. Would you say that Laban and Jacob parted on friendly terms?
Ans.: No.

11. Consider Laban's accusation against Jacob along with what he said about who spoke to him the night before in vs. 29 and then tell what this says about Laban's religion.
Ans.: Laban complained that his "gods" were stolen, and he referred to the God of "Jacob's father." This means Laban did not serve God but sought help from his idols.
