Thou
hast given a Banner to them that fear thee, that it may be Displayed because of the Truth. (Psalms 60:4)
Are
we them that fear God? To fear God is to want to follow his
commandments. This is the
problem! Many don't fear God. Many are
not
willing to display their banners of truth for God.
Therefore,
my beloved brethren, be ye Steadfast, Unmovable,
always abounding in the work
of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know
that
your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (I Cor. 15:58)
I
have knocked on doors, handed out flyers, and tried to lead others to Christ. I type up my own flyers and Bible studies.
Lots
of people like to hear what God says. Others don't, but I can't let that stop
me, because I am on a mission. That mission is what I was born for. It is what we were all put on this earth for. (We
must be
about our Fathers business)
The
fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. (Proverbs 11:30)
Then
saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;… (Mathew 9:37)
This
world as we know it is not getting better. It is getting worse!
There is more violence every year, more anguish and more strife, because people
are not saved. People do not know of
God
or the way to Salvation.
O
God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again. Thou
hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches
thereof; for it shaketh.
(Psalms 60: 1-2)
On
the day of Judgment I don't want the woman at the grocery store, or the man at the gas station to say to me, “Why
didn't you
tell me about Him? You never told me about Jesus!” The same goes for my friends, my co-workers, my neighbors living on
the same block.
For
I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;…
(Romans 1:16)
We
can all go out Soul Winning! It is really not that difficult and you do not need
to memorize a lot of Bible scripture to do it. Take notes with you for key
points. Don't be afraid to talk to strangers, because as you begin to talk to
people it will become easier.
Remember
you are not standing there all alone! Jesus is with you. Some are shy I know,
but that will fade the more we go out and carry our Banner of Truth. If you
don't get any one the first or second or 55th time you go out, don't worry
because Noah preached for 120yr's and only 8 were saved. You WILL
eventually get someone to listen to the truth.
Remember
your labour is NOT in vain, God will see us trying and will bless us for
following Jesus commandments.
So
my sisters, to the those of you who do daily or weekly Soul Winning, God
will bless you! To those who are too shy or don't think you have the time,
please reconsider. Even if it’s only one day a week for 30 minutes, you will
still be pleasing God. Yes, even if you only knock on a couple of doors or hand
out flyers in front of your local supermarket on a weekly or daily basis.
Let
us all Fight the Good Fight carrying our Banner of Truth to the world!
