I don’t understand God’s love for mankind.
I don't understand God's love for me.
I sin and I bring Him grief. I sin and
I crucify His beloved, perfect Son over and over again, yet He is willing
to forgive me. He wants me to turn to Him!
For in thee, O Jehovah, do I hope: Thou
wilt answer, O Lord my God. (Ps.38:15)
Forsake me not, O Jehovah: O my God, be
not far from me. Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation.
(Ps.38:21-22)
Blessed [be] the God and Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the
heavenly [places] in Christ:
Even as he chose us in him before the
foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before him
in love: having foreordained us unto adoption as sons through Jesus Christ
unto himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the
glory of his grace, which he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved:
In whom we have our redemption through
his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his
grace, which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence. (Ephesians
1:3-8)
To realize my sin, is to also realize
the depth of my need for a Savior. How thankful I am that we have a wonderful
Savior! May we ever be mindful of the price we have been bought with and our
unworthiness of that price!
Who is a God like unto thee, that
pardoneth iniquity, and passeth over the transgression of the remnant of his
heritage?
He retaineth not his anger for ever, because
he delighteth in lovingkindness. He will again have compassion
upon us; he will tread our iniquities under foot; and thou wilt cast all their
sins into the depths of the sea. (Micah 7:18-19)
