Her Husband Safely Trusts Her

By Vickie Oliver

"The heart of her husband safely trusts her, so he will have no lack of gain." Proverbs 31:11

TRUST - to put one's confidence in.

Proverbs 31... Oh, I love this woman, I think. Just don't compare me to her (I will fall short). She is wonderful and a very good example for us to use in our life. I hope people will think these things of me (at least some of them). She was a very hard worker. Her husband had confidence in her. She did for others. The community knew her. Does your community know of your strengths? Do your friends know the Lord is number one in your life?

TRUST - to put one's confidence in.

I would like to use this wonderful woman as a part of my article. When you read Proverbs 31, you see all the wonderful things she did. She sounds like Super Woman. (Do you think she was a real woman?) Regardless, real or not, she is a good example for us. She took  care of her household. She was a busy woman. Granted, she had some servants; but she took care of them also. She helped the needy in her community. Her children called her 'blessed'. How many of our children take it all for granted? There were many people in this woman's life that had confidence, trust in her.

TRUST - to put one's confidence in.

TRUST. How important is trust? Does this only apply to the wife? Not! It is very important for the wife to trust her husband and for the husband to trust his wife. Either one can be the cause of severe destruction. There is no way you can 'cleave' to one another if you do not trust in each other. What a sad and unhappy marriage that would be! When trust is lost in one or the other, it is very hard to get it back. Some never recover.

"…So he will have no lack of gain," (Proverbs 31:11a) Wives, do your husbands trust you? Or do you spend the paycheck before it hits the bank? Do you do your nails, toes and hair before the car payment is made? You know the bill collectors could care less if your nails are done or if your hair looks good. It is not worth the agony you are going to go through.

TRUST - to put one's confidence in.

Shopping is fun. I love to shop. However, we need to be a wise shopper. Everything goes on sale sooner or later. My husband says I cannot walk past a sale sign or rack (but he is the one that taught me where the clearance is at Target). These days your husband will probably know if you spent money before you even get home, if he banks online.

TRUST - to put one's confidence in.

Woman to woman, young or old, let us try to be like the WISE WOMAN in Proverbs. Do not give your husband any reason to not trust you. Take care of your household. Help your community when you can. Make your husband known because of you. Live your life so your children and husband will look to you as an example and give you praises.

Keep GOD first.

Fear the LORD.

Let your works praise you in the gates.
