As
for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to
all who trust in Him. (Ps. 18:30)
How
foolish we are when we try to do things our way. God's way is perfect, already
proven. If we trust in Him, he will make our paths straight.
Trust
in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all
your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. (Pro. 3:5-6)
So
many problems come out of our stubborn pride and foolishness.
There
is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. (Pro.14:12)
Everything that we will ever need is in the Bible.
…As
His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness,
through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue. (II Pet 1:3)
Through
the knowledge of Him, we have everything we need to obtain eternal life and to
be godly.
How can we know His way?
We learn His way by digging deep into His word.
Your
Word have I hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. (Ps. 119:11)
Daily
prayer and study keeps us close to Him. If we know His way, we can follow
it.
Submission Goes Against Our Human Nature
Submission
to God and to His ways will:
· Keep
our feet from sins
· Keep
our way straight
· Keep
our hearts pure
Much
heartache will be avoided if we do things His way.
