How can we become part of those who are saved?
Man’s Way

This is the ___ of those who are foolish, And of their posterity who approve their sayings. Selah (Psalm 49:13)Many in the world tell us different ways in which we can become a part of these saved who are in the church of the Lord. Some say, we can pray our way in and they base this on:

For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they ____ ______ ___ _____ , and they received the Holy Spirit.4.

Then Simon answered and said, "Pray to the Lord for me, that none of the things which you have spoken may come upon me." (Acts 8:14-24)We must read the teachings before these verses to understand what has already taken place. Upon reading this passage within its context we find
that Simon had already obeyed the gospel:

Following this Simon sinned. He left the light of God for the darkness of sin (1 John 1:6 If ___ ___ that we have _________ with Him, and ___ __ _________ , we ___ and ___ ___ practice the _____ . ) and he needs to repent and ask for forgiveness of this sin.12.

He told them that this is the One of whom the prophets foretold. Those listening believed and wanted to know what to do to be saved...

(Acts 2:38)Today many false teachers proclaim that Baptism is not necessary for one to receive Salvation but the above verse teaches us that baptism is for the remission (forgiveness) of our sins. Paul was told:

"And now why are you waiting? Arise and ___ _______ , and ____ ____ ____ _____ , calling on the name of the Lord.' (Acts 22:16) We see that it is in baptism where Paul had his sins washed away.Remember that Isaiah said “Our sins separate us from God“... (Isa. 59:2)
Until our sins are removed we are not in the right relationship with God.
