Are we willing to let God lead and teach us?It is not anything man can give us, it is not any way that man tells us. The only way is God’s Way and the way we know His Way is through His Holy Scriptures.

(2 Peter 3:16)Man needs help, he needs to be guided. God does this through His Word!
9.
"O LORD, I know the _____ ___ _____ is not in himself; It is not in _____ who walks to ________ _____ _____ steps." (Jeremiah 10:23)Old and New Testament
We see that the Bible is divided into two major parts… The Old Testament which contains 39 books starting in Genesis and ending with Malachi. The New Testament contains 27 books starting with Matthew and ending with Revelation.
We learn in the Old Testament that God chose the Israelite nation (who were descendants of Abraham and also known as the Jews) to be his chosen people. In Exodus we read that God's chosen people suffered under slavery in Egypt. God chose Moses to lead His people out of Egyptian bondage.
After they were freed God gave Moses a law for the Israelite nation to follow. The 10 commandments (Exodus 20) are a part of that law. This law is now considered the Old Law or the Law of Moses. Before Moses died he told God’s chosen people that God would send them another prophet and that they should listen to Him. The Prophet Moses told them about is the Christ.
10. Moses said
"The LORD your God will raise up for you a ________ _____ ____ from your midst, from your brethren. ____ ____ _____ _____ , according to all you desired of the LORD your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, "Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, nor let me see this great fire anymore, lest I die.' (Deuteronomy 18:15-16)11.
"And the LORD said to me: "What they have spoken is good. I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put ___ _____ ___ ____ _______ , and He shall _____ to them all that ___ ________ ____ . (Deuteronomy 18:17-18)12.
And it shall be that whoever will not hear ___ _____ , which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him. But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have ____ __________ him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.' (Deuteronomy 18:19-20)13.
And if you say in your heart, " _____ shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?'-- when a _______ ______ in the name of the LORD, if the thing ______ ____ happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD ____ ____ ______ ; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him. (Deuteronomy 18:21-22)In these verses we also see that He tells us there will be those who say they speak from God but they really do not! He warns us that we must test what we are told by the Written Word.
14.
Who is the prophet that Moses said God would raise up?Christ brought them a New Law. It is the New Testament. The Jewish nation (the Israelites) were under the Old Law before Christ came. The Gentiles (anyone who was not a Jew by birth or by being converted to Judaism (proselyted) were never under the Law of Moses which contained the 10 commandments and more. The Gentiles were under the Patriarchal rule of law (laws given by God to fathers or heads of clans)
Christ also, brought the Gentiles a new Law. Both Jew and Gentile were united under the same Law in Christ. Before the Gentiles received the Law of Christ the untaught Gentile had to find God on his own:
15.
For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; for when ________ , who ____ _____ have the _____ , by _______ _____ the things in the ______ , these, although _____ ________ the _____ , are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel. (Romans 2:12-16) Gentiles were condemned or saved according to how they responded to their own conscience which taught them by what they observed in their world.Almost reminds me of common sense, we know we should not murder, steal, treat others bad, hate… Moral or immoral!
16.
Who were God’s chosen children in the Old Testament?17.
The Bible is divided into two major parts. Please name them?18.
Who were the 10 commandments given to?The point we want to glean from this is that we (Gentiles) were not a part of God’s chosen people, the Jews, and the Law of Moses was not given to us.
Should Christians read and study the Old Testament today? Most certainly we should! The Apostle Paul wrote:
19.
For whatever things were written ________ were written for our ________ , that we through the patience and comfort of the _________ might have hope. (Rom.15:4)20. Where will we find the Law given to everyone?
